UFC 184 will no longer feature a pivotal middleweight fight between contenders Yoel Romero and “Jacare” Souza, as the promotion has announced that the latter has been forced to withdraw.

According to an official announcement from the UFC, Souza has been battling pneumonia, and as a result, the fight has been postponed.

Souza (21-3) is currently riding a seven fight winning streak, and is ranked #2 in the UFC’s 185 division. Romero (9-1) has won five straight and is ranked #6.

A lightweight fight between Tony Ferguson and Yancy Medeiros has been moved to the main card.

UFC 184 will take place on February 28th in Los Angeles, and will feature middleweight champion taking on Vitor Belfort.
