UFC 201: Wilson Reis Still Hoping to Fight July 30th

Wilson Reis will no longer fight flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson at UFC 201, but the contender is still hoping to compete on July 30th.

Recently it was confirmed that Johnson has withdrawn from the event due to an injury. The 31 year-old Reis, who is coming off a UD win over Dustin Ortiz, posted the following comments on Instagram.

Unfortunately my title fight will be delayed since My opponent got hurt . But we are trying to still fight July 30th at #ufc201 so friends that are coming to ATL wait couple days before canceling your trip . I am in amazing shape and super ready to fight I am sorry all for this and speed recovery to DJ . @ufc @ufc_brasil . Infelizmente a minha luta pelo cinturão do @Ufc foi andada .
