UFC 203: Mickey Gall’s Not Looking Past CM Punk, But Wants The “Sharks”
By FCF Staff
Mickey Gall will take on CM Punk tonight at UFC 203, and the rising fighter’ s hoping the bout will propel him into fights with the promotion’s best welterweights.
Since Punk will be making his MMA debut tonight, Gall is a sizeable favorite to defeat the former pro-wrestling star. While speaking to UFC.com recently, however, the 24 year-old Gall said this:
“I’m not looking past Punk, but of course I’m looking ahead, and I welcome the sharks,” he said. “That’s why I got into this sport. I want the sharks, I want the big names. Big names make nice trophies, and I want the trophies. I want some wars. I want the fights that I can look back on and be proud of.”
Gall (2-0) quickly stopped Mike Jackson this past February at UFC Fight Night 82 to advance to a bout with Punk.
UFC 203 will take place at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
