The UFC will hold its first ever event in New York City on November 12th, and Conor McGregor looks forward to introducing the region’s fans to MMA.

McGregor will face lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez at the event, and if he wins, the featherweight champ will become the first man to hold two UFC titles at once. Recently the promotion released an extended preview for UFC 205, and during it McGregor said this (quote via UFC.com):

“They’re focusing on me and I’m focusing on history. I’m always looking to make history every single day and here we are again – more history,” McGregor said. “I’m going to introduce Madison Square Garden to this style: true, pure combat.”

“You think one thing’s gonna happen and then a whole other thing happens,” McGregor said, while referring to Alvarez. “That’s what’s going to happen to Eddie. My fist is just going to break his whole face and that’s it. It’s over before it even begins.”

UFC 205 will be hosted by the historic Madison Square Garden.
