UFC 205: Conor McGregor Makes His “Mystic Mac” Prediction For Eddie Alvarez Bout
By FCF Staff
Now that Conor McGregor is officially booked to face lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205, “Mystic Mac” has made his prediction for the November 12th bout.
On Wednesday, the UFC held a press conference for the New York City card, not long after the promotion had announced Alvarez – McGregor would headline it. When McGregor was asked for his prediction on the upcoming fight, the Irish star stated (quote via MMA Junkie.com):
“I have nothing against him,” McGregor said. “I run New York. I run this whole (expletive). And ‘Mystic Mac’ predicts I’m going to KO you inside one round.”
“He’s chinny – he has no chin,” McGregor added. “He gets cracked, he gets dropped. It’s happened throughout his career. He’s a weathered fighter. He’s on his way out. He’s very, very lucky to be in the position he’s in. One round it will take me to knock him out.”
McGregor is coming off a unanimous decision win over Nate Diaz at UFC 202 in August. The featherweight champion predicted he would stop Diaz in the second round, leading up to that fight. The noted finisher, however, has correctly predicted the result of several of his UFC bouts to date.
