UFC 205: Donald Cerrone Believes “a Lot of Fighters” Are Involved in Union Effort, “Revolution” is Coming
By FCF Staff
Donald Cerrone recently said he’s interested in helping lead the charge for a UFC fighter union, and the perennial contender clearly hasn’t changed his mind.
Last month, Cerrone called for his fellow fighters to organize a union, and the New Mexico star also said he’d “headline it“. In advance of his bout this Saturday with Kelvin Gastelum, Cerrone spoke with MMA Fighting.com during media day for UFC 205. While doing so, Cerrone said the following, while discussing why he believes fighters should unionize.
“There’s a lot of guys man that I’ve seen come in and fight, and they just got washed out. Where are they now? I don’t know? F–k. I’m barely holding on so I have to get out there and we’ve got to do something. I think a lot of fighters are involved and it’s going to be a revolution.”
Cerrone and Gastelum will battle on the main card of UFC 205, which will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
