UFC 208: Derek Brunson Says he “Outclassed” Anderson Silva Following Loss

Derek Brunson thinks he defeated Anderson Silva last night at UFC 208, and the middleweight contender is airing his objections with the judge’s decision.
Brunson faced Silva in the co-main event of the card, and after three rounds, the latter was handed the fight with scores of 30-27, 29-28, 29-28. The decision immediately led to questions and even outcry on social media, and Brunson himself posted this:
Wow unreal I put my heart & soul out there on 3 weeks notice only to get it taken from me. I just outclassed the greatest of all time #UFC208
The middleweight also proceeded to retweet comments from media and fans, who also had the fight scored for Brunson. According to Fight Metric, Brunson landed 54 significant strikes to Silva’s 43. In total, Brunson landed 118 strikes while Silva scored with 54. Brunson also took Silva down twice.
