UFC 214: Donald Cerrone Believes Today’s Fight With Robbie Lawler Will be “Talked About For Ages”
By FCF Staff
There’s no shortage of compelling fights booked for today’s UFC 214 card in Anaheim, but one match-up many believe could steal the show, is the welterweight clash between Donald Cerrone and Robbie Lawler.
Over the years, both men have forged reputations for being aggressive fighters and stoppers, and both welterweights have defeated many notable names. Recently Cerrone spoke to UFC.com about today’s bout, and the rugged vet had this to say:
“I love it, man. I love it,” said Cerrone. “To me, this is the fighter’s fight.
“This is the fight that everyone is wanting to see. This is the fight that if I were a fighter, I would want to watch. It’s going to be unbelievable – two legends going in there and throwing down.”
“This is definitely a fight that is going to be talked about for ages, so I’m excited to be a part of it.”
Both Cerrone and Lawler will be looking to get back on track. Cerrone is coming off a stoppage loss to Jorge Masvidal in January, and Lawler hasn’t fought since he was finished by Tyron Woodley last July, and lost the 170 crown.
