UFC 217: T.J. Dillashaw Says he Has Nothing “Invested” in Feud With Cody Garbrandt And TAM
By FCF Staff
Leading up to their fight tonight at UFC 217, Cody Garbrandt has repeatedly brought up T.J. Dillashaw’s departure from Team Alpha Male, and has attacked the latter’s character. But, according to the former bantamweight champ, he has nothing “invested” in a feud.
Dillashaw appeared on the latest “UFC Tonight“, and while discussing his issues with Garbrandt, the fighter stated (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):
“I’ve got nothing invested in it. I put a smile on my face every day, then we get in the cage and get to end the feud. At first, with guys I knew well, it was tough, but it’s really just mental warfare. They need me to do it to help fuel them, because they know I’m the better fighter.”
And when asked how he plans to defeat the bantamweight champ, Dillashaw said this:
“He’s got a lot of holes in his game. He’s talented, quick and powerful, but one dimensional and I’m going to take advantage of him.”
UFC 217 will be hosted by Madison Square Garden in New York City.
