By FCF Staff
Following Jose Aldo’s stoppage loss to Max Holloway in June, the former champ’s coach reported that a leg injury, had prevented the Brazilian star from throwing his feared leg kicks. But, according to the new featherweight champ, he hopes to see Aldo firing plenty of kicks tonight.
Holloway and Aldo will battle again in the headliner of UFC 218 today, which will take place in Detroit, Michigan. Recently Holloway appeared on “UFC Tonight“, and while doing so, the Hawaiian fighter had this to say about Aldo (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):
“We were focusing on the first one. He only did one, because when he does it, I cracked him. He keeps talking about his leg kick game. I hope he does. I want to fight the best Aldo ever and hope there are no excuses. He says he’s training boxing, so let’s it see Saturday.”
Heading into UFC 218, Holloway is riding an 11 fight, winning streak.
