UFC 219: John Lineker Reportedly Has Withdrawn From Jimmie Rivera Bout
By FCF Staff
UFC 219 will no longer feature a pivotal bantamweight fight between Jimmie Rivera and John Lineker, as the latter has reportedly withdrawn from the bout.
The two were supposed to fight on the main card of the December 30th card, but according to a report from MMA Fighting, Lineker has pulled out due to a tooth infection. The feared slugger will undergo surgery soon.
Lineker was a replacement for Rivera’s original opponent, Dominick Cruz, who had to withdraw after breaking his arm.
The UFC is reportedly seeking a replacement for Lineker.
This Saturday’s card will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
