UFC 232 Moving to Los Angeles After Jon Jones’ Drug Test Has Atypical Result
By FCF Staff
UFC 232 is no longer taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, as following a drug test to Jon Jones that had an atypical finding, the fighter will not be licensed to compete in the state. Since Jones can fight in Calfornia, however, the card has been moved to Los Angeles.
According to a statement from USADA, a drug test Jones has taken indicated the presence of the same metabolite he was flagged for last year. But, since the amount of the banned substance is so minuscule, Jones will be allowed to fight Alexander Gustafsson in Los Angeles.
The California Commission oversaw Jones’ most recent case with USADA, whereby an independent arbiter concluded that the fighter did not intentionally take any type of performance-enhancing drug.
