UFC 239: Amanda Nunes Will “Talk” About Cris “Cyborg” After Facing Holly Holm
By FCF Staff
Ever since Amanda Nunes quickly took out Cris “Cyborg”, there’s been talk about them fighting again. But, as the bantamweight and featherweight champ gets set to fight Holly Holm at UFC 239, Nunes is focused on getting past the decorated fighter.
Nunes needed just 51 seconds to finish “Cyborg” last December. But, due to the fact “Cyborg” hadn’t lost a MMA bout prior since 2005, calls for a rematch quickly materialized.
The champ-champ Nunes has expressed an interest in fighting “Cyborg” again. But while talking about a rematch recently, the Brazilian star said this (quotes via MMA Fighting):
“My focus is on Saturday and after this fight we can talk more about Cris,” Nunes said. When asked again, Nunes added “it’s important to continue focused. After (the fight), I’ll definitely talk about it at the press conference, when I’m sitting there with my new belt.”
“Cyborg”, meanwhile, is booked to fight Felicia Spencer at UFC 240, July 27th in Edmonton.
