After feuding for months, Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya delivered on all the hype surrounding their fight at UFC 305. But, following their memorable battle on Saturday, Dricus Du Plessis is still the promotion’s middleweight champ.

As expected would be the case, Du Plessis mixed in his wrestling against the renowned kickboxer. While Adesanya was able to defend multiple takedowns and largely outstruck the champ standing, Du Plessis ultimately ended the fight with a fourth-round, rear-naked-choke. The fight-ending series unfolded after Du Plessis appeared to hurt Adesanya with a series of punches standing, before he took the former champ down.

In the co-headliner, Kai Kara-France finished fellow flyweight contender Steve Erceg, after dropping the latter not long into the bout with a massive left.
