Ilia Topuria continued his rise to superstar status at UFC 317 on Saturday, by viciously taking out Charles Oliveira to secure the vacant, lightweight title.

Topuria battled through a grappling exchange not long into the fight, and proceeded to floor “Do Bronx” with pounding right and left hooks. Oliveira appeared to be out before he hit the deck. Watch the knockout.

Topuria was fighting for the first time since he vacated the featherweight belt earlier this year, which followed consecutive knockouts of legends Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway.

In the co-headliner, Alexandre Pantoja dominated feared striker Kai Kara-France with his wrestling and renowned jiu-jitsu, en route to third-round, submission win. With the victory, Pantoa has now defended the flyweight title four times.
