UFC Adds Pettis – Miller, Werdum – Overeem & Lawler – Cerrone to July Schedule

The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s July 8th card has received three big name fights.
The promotion has confirmed that UFC 213 will feature Fabricio Werdum vs. Alistair Overeem, Anthony Pettis vs. Jim Miller and Robbie Lawler vs. Donald Cerrone.
Heavyweights, Werdum and Overeem have fought twice before. Back in 2006, Werdum submitted Overeem while fighting under the PRIDE banner, and in 2011, the latter won their rematch via decision at a Strikeforce event. More recently, Werdum decisioned Travis Browne and Overeem knocked out Mark Hunt.
Pettis will be returning to the lightweight division, after being finished by featherweights Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway. Miller, meanwhile, is coming off a decision defeat to Dustin Poirier.
Cerrone and Lawler were expected to fight last November, but the latter elected to take more time off, following his knockout loss to Tyron Woodley last July. Cerrone will be looking to get back on track, after being stopped by welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal in January.
UFC 213 will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event will feature bantamweight champ Cody Garbrandt taking on former champ, TJ Dillashaw.
