UFC Atlanta Results: Kamaru Usman Returns to Win Column, Halts Rise of Joaquin Buckley

Kamaru Usman turned to his wrestling and top game to record a pivotal win over Joaquin Buckley at UFC Atlanta, Saturday.
The former welterweight champ recorded four takedowns and outscored Buckley by a wide margin with strikes to earn a unanimous decision. The 38-year-old Usman (21-4), who did not fight in 2024, had lost three straight prior to Saturday’s main event.
Buckley (21-7), who is 31, was riding a six-fight winning streak heading into this weekend’s action. In his last outing, the powerful welterweight recorded a TKO win (due to doctor stoppage) over Colby Covington.
