The MMA world continues to wait to see when Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones will fight again, and according to a UFC official, an announcement is coming soon.

At UFC on FOX 18 yesterday, Anthony Johnson secured a title shot at 205, by quickly stopping Ryan Bader. At the post-fight press conference, UFC Vice President of Public Relations Dave Sholler was asked about Cormier – Jones II. Sholler stated (quote via MMA Junkie.com):

“We expect to have an announcement (of Cormier vs. Jones II) in the next couple of days here,”Sholler said. “Things are shaking out, and I think you guys are going to be pleased with the outcome.”

Cormier and Jones met for the first time in January, 2015, and the latter won via unanimous decision.
