UFC FN 132: Donald Cerrone Reports Leon Edwards is Facing a “Pissed Off ‘Cowboy'”
By FCF Staff
Donald Cerrone hasn’t typically had issues with the fighters he’s been facing in recent years. But, the rugged vet’s reporting Leon Edwards has said some things leading up to their bout this Saturday, which has him pretty fired up.
Cerrone and Edwards are set to fight in the main event of UFC Fight Night 132, which will take place in Sinagpore. Recently the UFC released the preview vid below, and in it, Cerrone said this (quote via MMA Mania):
“Yo, Leon, there is no need for us to be angry with each other right now. He called me old and slow. So I told him he has to go home an tell his mamma that an old and slow man beat your ass.”
“Leon Edwards, young, up-and-coming fighter that does not want to play fair. He wants to run his mouth and tell the world all the things he is going to do to me,” he added. “It’s good, go ahead. I tried to be cordial and I tried to be cool. Now you are getting a pissed off ‘Cowboy.’ I don’t even have to talk to you after I beat your ass, so that’s cool.”
“Cowboy” is coming off a first round, stoppage win over Yancy Medeiros in February, which moved Cerrone’s overall record to 33-10.
Edwards (15-3), meanwhile, stopped Peter Sobotta in his last bout.
