UFC FN 36: Cristiano Marcello to Fight Joe Proctor
By FCF Staff
The February 15th, UFC Fight Night 36 card in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil, has a new addition, as the promotion has announced that Joe Proctor will battle lightweight Cristiano Marcello. The upcoming event, which will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Lyoto Machida and Gegard Mousasi, will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1.
Proctor (8-2) will be looking to rebound from a unanimous decision loss he incurred versus Ramsey Nijem last December. In his only other official UFC bout, the TUF 15 vet stopped Jeremy Larsen last July.
Marcello (13-5) is also coming off a loss, as the Brazilian fighter lost by unanimous decision to Kazuki Tokudome at UFC on FUEL TV card in March. In Marcello’s other UFC appearances, he scored a split decision win over Reza Madadi and was knocked out by Sam Sicilia.
UFC FN 36 will be hosted by the Arena Jaragua. The card will also feature a fight between middleweight contenders Francis Carmont and “Jacare” Souza.
