Although Jason High is coming off consecutive victories over Anthony Lapsley and James Head, the veteran’s next fight will be at lightweight instead of welterweight. In addition, the UFC has announced that High will face the promotion’s #8 ranked 155’er, Rafael dos Anjos, June 7th.

The bout will be part of UFC Fight Night 42, which will be hosted by Albuquerque’s Tingley Coliseum.

Prior to his wins over Lapsley and Head, High (18-4) was tapped out by Erick Silva in June, 2013. The Strikeforce vet is 9-1 in his last 10 fights.

Dos Anjos (20-7), meanwhile, is coming off a decision loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC on FOX 11, after winning five straight.

UFC FN 42 will be headlined by a lightweight bout between former champ Benson Henderson and Rustam Khabilov.
