The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced it has signed undefeated middleweight Scott Askham, and that he will fight Magnus Cedenblad on October 4th.

The bout will be part of UFC Fight Night 53, which will take place at the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden.

Askham (12-0) is coming off two, consecutive wins while fighting for BAMMA, and most recently competed in June.

“Ever since I started fighting it’s been a dream of mine to fight in the UFC,” Askham was quoted saying in the official announcement. “I have already said I am not here to make up the numbers; Magnus is getting put away. I am not expecting a good reception in Magnus’s home town, but I am still going to put on a show for the Swedish fans.”

Cedenblad (12-4) tapped out Krzysztof Jotko in his last outing on May 31st, and has gone 2-1 in the UFC to date.
