UFC FN 69: Joanna Jedrzejczyk And Jessica Penne Receive Bonuses After Memorable Headliner
By FCF Staff
Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Penne may have had very different experiences in the headliner for UFC Fight Night 69, but both strawweights earned an extra $50,000 for their performances.
Although Penne was badly outstruck by the strawweight champion throughout the bout, and was bloodied and battered, she valiantly battled on. Finally, after Jedrzejczyk landed several more telling punches in round three, the fight was mercifully stopped. The memorable fight earned “Fight of the Night” honors.
According to multiple reports, it was announced that Maribek Taisumov earned a “Performance of the Night” bonus for his stoppage win over Alan Patrick, but the promotion’s tweet says the awards went to Arnold Allen and Makwan Amirkhani (the reports didn’t mention the latter being name as a bonus winner).
Amirkhani submitted Masio Fullen in round one, and Allen tapped out Alan Omer in round three.
UFC FN 69 went down at the O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany.
