UFC FN 69: Peter Sobotta to Battle Octagon Newcomer After Sergio Moraes Withdraws
By FCF Staff
Not long after the UFC announced that Uriah Hall has been added to the line-up for its June 20th card in Berlin, the promotion has confirmed another change to the event.
The UFC has announced that Sergio Moraes has pulled out of the upcoming event, and as a result, welterweight Steve Kennedy will make his Octagon debut against Peter Sobotta. The reason for the withdrawal of Moraes was not disclosed.
Kennedy (22-6) makes his way to the UFC having won seven straight fights, and the Australian is coming off a win over Callan Potter at a Hex Fight Series card in March.
Sobotta (14-4-1), meanwhile, is undefeated in seven straight fights. The German fighter hasn’t fought since last March when he decisioned Pawel Pawlak.
UFC FN 69 will be hosted by Berlin’s O2 Arena, and will be headlined by a strawweight bout between champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Penne.
