UFC on FOX 15 will forever be remembered as a huge night for Luke Rockhold, as the middleweight dominated legend Lyoto Machida, and earned an extra $50,000 for doing so.

Rockhold punished Machida with strikes from the top position in round one, and in round two, he tapped his fellow contender out with a rear-naked-choke. After the card, the promotion announced that Rockhold had earned a “Performance of the Night”, and an extra $50K for the award.

The other “POTN” award went to Max Holloway, who submitted fellow featherweight contender Cub Swanson with a third round, guillotine choke.

“Fight of the Night”, and $50 grand each, went to light-heavyweights Corey Anderson and Gian Villante. The latter scored a stoppage win, late in round three, by stunning Anderson with a couple of big right hands.

UFC on FOX 15 took place in Newark, New Jersey.
