The lightweight championship fight everyone knew was coming finally has a date, as the UFC has announced that champion Rafael dos Anjos will battle Donald Cerrone on December 19th. The bout will be part of UFC on FOX 17, which will be hosted by the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

Dos Anjos (24-7) will be defending the belt for the first time since he outscored Anthony Pettis for the title in March. The Brazilian star, who has won four straight fights, has been sidelined since with a knee injury.

Cerrone (28-6) is riding an eight fight winning streak and is coming off a stoppage win over John Makdessi in May. The last man to defeat the American is dos Anjos, who decisioned him in August, 2013.

No other bouts have been announced yet for UFC on FOX 17.
