Jeremy Stephens is set to fight one of the greatest fighters of all time this Saturday, and while “Lil’ Heathen” says he’s not looking past Jose Aldo, he says he’s going to dominate the legend.

The featherweights are set to fight in the co-headliner of UFC on FOX 30, which will take place in Calgary, Alberta. In a recent story at UFC.com, Stephens had this to say about facing the former champ.

“I know I’m the best in the world; I’ve always believed that, but I was never fully on board with myself and my coach to make those things happen.

“I put myself in this position to be here, to be showing up July 28th, fighting a former champion, someone as decorated as this guy. I don’t look past him, I’m looking right at him and I’m going to go right through him.

“That belief in myself is at an all-time high right now. You can put anybody in front of me and I’m going to take them out.”

Stephens (28-14) is riding a three fight winning streak heading into the contest, which includes wins over Gilbert Melendez, Doo Ho Choi and Josh Emmett.

Aldo (26-4), meanwhile, is fighting for the first time since he was stopped by reigning champ, Max Holloway in December. That loss marked the second time Aldo has been defeated by Holloway.
