UFC on FUEL TV 10: Antonio “Minotauro” Nogueira’s Arm Not Seriously Injured After Submission Loss
By FCF Staff
Some alarm bells were sounded when Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira did not attend Saturday’s post-fight, UFC on FUEL TV 10 press conference, but the legendary heavyweight’s arm is reportedly free of any major injuries following the event.
Nogueira was tapped out by Fabricio Werdum with a second round armbar, but according to one of his coaches Luiz Dorea, the 37 year-old vet was not hurt in the exchange. Dorea tweeted:
Our champion @ Minotauromma already did xray and thank God, did not fracture and already out of the hospital! Thank God!
The loss was Nogueira’s second in three fights, as before tapping out Dave Herman last October, the former PRIDE champ had his arm broke by a Frank Mir kimura in December, 2011.
Until facing Mir, Nogueira had never been submitted.
