UFC Philadelphia: Edson Barboza Says Kicking Game’s on Different Level Than Justin Gaethje’s

UFC Philadelphia’s will feature a fight between two of the most feared kickers in the game in Justin Gaethje and Edson Barboza, but the latter says his kicking game is on a different level.
The lightweight contenders will square off in the main event of Saturday’s card. Recently Barboza was asked to evaluate the kicking aspect of the fight, and the Brazilian fighter said this (quote via MMA Fighting):
“A lot of guys don’t talk about that, because I come from Muay Thai. Everybody tried to finish me with a leg kick, but nobody finished me yet with a leg kick. You can say whatever you want.”
“I have two finishes in the UFC with leg kicks. He doesn’t have any finishes in the UFC with the leg kicks. It’s different. You see my style and his style, it’s very different. His leg kicks work well too, he’s a great fighter, but definitely I don’t have only the leg kicks. I have finishes with body kicks, I have finishes with high kicks. I’m definitely the best kicker in the game.”
Barboza (20-6) is coming off a stoppage win over Dan Hooker in December, while Gaethje (19-2) knocked out James Vick in his last outing, which took place in August.
