Joaquin Buckley ended his memorable 2024 campaign with another impressive win on Saturday, by recording a TKO win over longtime, welterweight contender, Colby Covington.

Buckley cut Covington early on above the right eye, and as the fight progressed, it was clear “Chaos” was bothered by the cut. The former interim champ was also unable to put his wrestling game to effective work, as Buckley defended 7 of Covington’s 8 takedown attempts. Buckley also bested Covington in numerous striking exchanges and landed 75 significant strikes to his 37.

In round three, the cage-side doctor ruled that Covington should not continue as a result of the cut, and the fight was stopped.

With the win, Buckley (21-6) extended his winning streak to six. Covington (17-5) has now lost four of his last six fights.
