The Ultimate Fighting Championship is heading back to Canada this fall, but the promotion won’t be holding an event in one of the nation’s largest cities.
On Thursday, the UFC announced it is holding a card in Moncton, New Brunswick, October 27th, at the Moncton Events Centre. No bouts for the event have been announced yet.
Moncton is the 11th Canadian city to host a UFC event.
“We are thrilled to bring the world-famous Octagon® back to the Maritimes for our debut in Moncton,” David Shaw, UFC Senior Vice President, International and Content, was quoted saying in the official announcement. “We can’t wait to showcase our world-class athletes, and the unbelievable energy and atmosphere of our events as part of the opening roster of acts at the new Moncton Events Centre this October.”
The UFC’s next event in Canada is taking place July 28th in Calgary, Alberta.
