Anthony Hernandez continued to impress at UFC Vegas 99 on Saturday, as the middleweight punished the dangerous Michel Pereira en route to a fifth-round, stoppage.

Pereira appeared to hurt Hernandez in the early moments of the bout, but after that, “Fluffy” put his wrestling and top game to work. Hernandez proceeded to take Pereira down ten times in the contest and outscored the highlight reel striker by a margin of 219 to 29 strikes.

Finally in round five, the fight was stopped, as Hernandez continued to batter and bloody Pereira with a ground-and-pound assault.

The victory was Hernadnez’s sixth straight and moved his record to 13-2. Pereira had his eight-fight winning streak snapped and his record now stands at 31-12.
