By FCF Staff
Following a knockout loss at M-1 Challenge 54 last weekend, UFC veteran Cody McKenzie has announced he’s calling it quits on his MMA career.
McKenzie, who was stopped by Beslan Isaev in the first round, posted on Twitter recently:
I'm done fighting I would call it retiring but I never made no money so yea I quit.

The 27 year-old closes out his career with a 15-6 record, and having gone 2-3 in his last 5 bouts. McKenzie competed on the 12th Season of “The Ultimate Fighter” and proceeded to go 3-4 with the promotion, before he was released last year.
The guillotine master has also been highly critical of the UFC as of late, and McKenzie continued to be so in recent tweets:
@M1GlobalNews @RelentlessMgmt this is the most exited I have ever been for a fight. M1 is treating me way better than UFC ever did. #M1great

@M1GlobalNews it's nice I get to fight for a top org and get paid and not have to sign a 3 year deal, and fight 3 good guys for free first!
