UFC Vet Leslie Smith Signs With Bellator
By FCF Staff
UFC veteran and fighter union organizer, Leslie Smith, has announced she’s signed with Bellator.
The 36-year-old Smith has not competed since July, 2017, when she scored a stoppage win over Amanda Lemos at UFC FN 113. Smith was scheduled to fight Aspen Ladd last April, but the latter failed to make weight and the bout was canceled. The UFC opted to pay Smith her show money and win bonus for the canceled contest, and in doing so, completed her contract.
More recently, Yahoo Sports Kevin Iole reported that Smith has signed with Bellator, and Smith herself, announced the news via Twitter.
