Shooto Pictures Hello, We have added 40 pictures from Shooto show held on August 4th. I think Susumu sent me some new concept photos like closing up the fighters. They are all redish so he might used a different type films from usual ones. There will be Pride and Shooto show on the same August 27th. I am curious which show Susumu is covering. I myself am going to Pride. My house sits between Tokyo Dome and Seibu Dome. It takes 30 minutes to go to Seibu by train. And I should mention that an official Shooto book called Rumina 100% in which Susumu was involved very much has published here. I am going to introduce some photos from the book soon. You can buy it directly from Susumu as usual. http://member.nifty.ne.jp/westisle/susumu/index.htm |

HOOKnSHOOT "Triumph" August 19, 2000 – Memorial Coliseum – Evansville, Indiana Those within driving distance from Evansville may want to make the trip to HnS this month. With an 8-man ADCC qualifier in the 66-76KG division, an unbelievable show is on tap along with some added suprizes! Although nothing is "set in stone", HOOKnSHOOT has some serious names being tossed around the ADCC qualifier. With over 20 applicants, the choices being made are VERY difficult but the following names are being considered as POSSIBLE competitors in the field of eight:
These four alone are just the first four applicants so you can only imagine what is to follow. Eight exciting bouts, along with two exhibition matches and a superfight that should excite makes for another potential, landmark show for HOOKnSHOOT who recently celebrated their 5th anniversary. Among those scheduled to fight: Adrian Serrano vs. Joe Merit (IFC Champ), Phil Johns defends his title against Chris Gochis, Scott Henze, Kelly Williams vs. BIG Johnathan Ivey, Lane Andrews, Floriday standout Scott Bills and many others! A new HnS Absolute Fighting Champion will be crowned as Aaron Riley and Steve Berger finally get their shot at the gold! Riley, recently capturing his fifth championship in Harlingen, TX, brings his 75% knockout ratio to the ring in his first shot at the NHB title. Berger, recently victorious in a 4-man tournament and a win at SFC this past weekend, is considered by many as a true champion and has NEVER been KO’d or tapped in MMA.
Berger has gone the distance with Jeremy Horn and beaten Extreme Challenge champion Shonie Carter and is always unpredictable. Riley is an exciting and aggressive fighter who continually improves and always prepares for war. Match the two up and you might just have….the perfect fight.
