Walt Harris Returning to UFC to Face Soa Palelei
By FCF Staff
Following a knockout win over DJ Linderman at a Titan FC card in May, Walt Harris has been tapped on short notice to fight Soa Palelei at UFC Fight Night 55.
The heavyweight is stepping in for the injured Daniel Omielanczuk at the event, which will take place November 8th in Sydney, Australia.
Harris (7-3) went 0-2 in his first run with the UFC, as he was decisioned by Jared Rosholt and stopped by Nikita Krylov. The American Top Team fighter also holds a win over UFC vet Anthony Hamilton.
Palelei (21-4) is looking to rebound from a decision loss to the aforementioned Rosholt, which snapped “The Hulk’s” 11 fight winning streak. Palelei has defeated Krylov, Pat Barry and Ruan Potts since he returned to the UFC in 2013.
UFC FN 55 will be headlined by a middleweight bout between top ranked contenders Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold.
