Wanderlei Silva Says Fourth Bout With “Rampage” Jackson Tabled by Bellator
By FCF Staff
It looks like “Rampage” Jackson and Wanderlei Silva will be fighting again, as the latter’s reporting Bellator has asked him to fight his fellow star in September.
Silva stopped Jackson in 2003 and 2004, when the two were fighting for PRIDE. In 2008, however, Jackson KO’d Silva at UFC 92.
Recently the Brazilian fighter posted a video on Facebook, in which Silva reported the following (quote via MMA Fighting):
”Like people say, it’s very hard for a good professional to retire,” Silva said. “I just got a call from Bellator inviting to be part of the Sept. 29 (card) against Quinton Jackson in the main event in California. It’s our fourth bout, I won two of the first three, so it’s 2-1 for me.”
The 41 year-old Silva hasn’t fought since June, 2017, when he lost via decision to Chael Sonnen.
