World Series of Fighting has announced several bouts for the promotion’s upcoming, August 9th card, which will feature a lightweight bout between Luis Palomino and Lewis Gonzalez.
WSOF 12 will be hosted by the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network.
Palomino (22-9) is coming off a KO win over Jorge Patino at WSOF 8, and Gonzalez (9-0) earned a technical decision victory over Antonio McKee in his last outing.
“We had an incredible July event on network television, and our roster is full of hungry fighters who want to have that same type of opportunity,” World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo said in a press release from the promotion. “We’re happy to be back at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for World Series of Fighting 12, where all four main-card matchups feature fighters who can really make an impact with a solid performance, and it’s capped off by what looks like a thrilling fight between Luis Palomino and Lewis Gonzalez, both of whom want to be the next to challenge our incredible lightweight champion, Justin Gaethje.”
In the co-main-event, UFC vet Ronny Markes (14-3) is returning to light-heavyweight to face undefeated Kelvin Tiller (6-0).
In addition, WSOF has announced that middleweight Elvis Mutapcic (13-3) will fight Krasimir Mladenov (11-0), and that bantamweight Alexis Vila will face Brandon Hempleman (9-2).
