WSOF 21 Weigh-Ins: Lance Palmer And Chris Horodecki Hit Their Marks, Matt Baker to Face Cornerman
By FCF Staff
World Series of Fighting 21 will take place tomorrow night in Edmonton, Alberta, however, today’s weigh-ins experienced a hiccup.
According to the promotion’s Twitter feed, heavyweight challenger Blagoi Ivanov was delayed at the airport, and as a result, did not make it to the weigh-ins. A tweet from WSOF said Ivanov is on weight, and that officials were going to let the heavyweight weigh-in later. Champion Smealinho Rama, meanwhile, came in at 227.8 for the bout.
In the card’s main event, featherweight champ Lance Palmer will take on Chris Horodecki, and the two weighed in at 144.9 and 144.4 respectively.
In addition, according to multiple reports, Marcus Hicks was not cleared to fight Matt Baker after suffering complications during his weight cut. As a result, Baker’s cornerman, Thiago Goncalves, has agreed to fight his teammate.
