Yves Edwards vs. Rafaello Oliveira Scheduled for UFC Live 6
By FCF Staff
The UFC has confirmed that lightweights Yves Edwards and Rafaello Oliveira will fight at the promotion’s upcoming UFC Live 6 show in Washington, DC. The card, which will be hosted by the Verizon Center, will feature a bantamweight bout between champion Dominick Cruz and Demetrious Johnson in the main event.
Edwards (40-17-1) will be looking to rebound from a highlight reel, knockout loss to Sam Stout in June, after scoring three straights wins over Luis Palomino, John Gunderson, and Cody McKenzie.
Oliveira (14-4) is also coming off a loss, as the Brazilian was submitted by Gleison Tibau at UFC 130 in May, ending the lightweight’s four fight win streak.
Some of the other bouts scheduled for UFC Live 6 include heavyweight Pat Barry vs. Stefan Struve, welterweight Charlie Brenneman vs. Anthony Johnson and lightweight Mac Danzig vs. Matt Wiman.
