Zabit Magomedsharipov Believes he “Fully” Deserves Title Shot, Following UFC Moscow Win

After recording his latest victory at UFC Moscow, by defeating Calvin Katter, Zabit Magomedsharipov believes he’s done his part to earn a shot at the promotion’s 145 title.
The 28-year-old fighter faced Kattar in the main event of Saturday’s event, and Magomedsharipov worked his way to a unanimous decision win. With the victory, Magomedsharipov moved his UFC record to 6-0 and his overall record to 18-1.
After the card, the Dagestani fighter was asked to comment on the upcoming bout between champion Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski, and whether he believes he’s earned a title shot. Magomedsharipov said this (quotes via MMA Fighting):
“I think it is going to be a very exciting fight; I can’t wait to see it,” Magomedsharipov said. “I will also be happy to face the winner of this upcoming fight.
“I think I fully deserve the title fight and after enough preparation, I should be more than ready to have a go at the title.”
Holloway will face Volkanovski at UFC 245, which will take place on December 14th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
