Reigning Bellator Bantamweight (135 pounds) World Champion  Zach “Fun Size” Makovsky (14-2) will put his title on the line against streaking Eduardo “Dudu” Dantas (13-2) in the main event of Bellator 65 at Atlantic City, N.J.’s Boardwalk Hall on Friday, April 13.

In a featured bout on the card, Lyman Good (11-2), who has rejoined Bellator after nearly a year away from action, will battle LeVon Maynard (12-8) in a welterweight (170 pounds) contest.

The 23-year-old Dantas stormed through Bellator’s season 5 tournament, emerging victorious over  Wilson Reis, Ed West and Olympian Alexis Vila.

“I’m here at Bellator to win the Bantamweight Championship,” Dantas said. “I plan to not only win the title, but to keep it for many years to come.”

Makovsky, who trains with former Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in Philadelphia, Pa., enters the cage riding an eight fight win streak.  His fight with Dantas will be Makovsky’s first title defense.

“I want to dominate everyone I compete against, but at the same time, I don’t feel like I have to make any kind of statement,” Makovsky said. “I just want to continue getting better and do the best I can every time I enter the cage. I don’t pay attention to the rankings because I feel like that’s going to put extra pressure on me. I just look forward to defending my belt on April 13.”

In his last start, Good suffered a split decision loss to Rick Hawn at Bellator 39 on April 2, 2011.  His opponent, Maynard, notched a unanimous decision win over Christopher Wing in his last effort at Bellator 59 on Nov. 26, 2011.

Bellator 65 will also host the semifinals of the promotion’s Season 6 Middleweight Tournament. Maiquel Falcao, Brian Rogers, Giva Santana and Vitor Vianna headline the stacked tournament and should provide fireworks.

The event will also be broadcast live on MTV2, starting at 8 p.m. EST and in commercial-free HD on EPIX.  The preliminary card will be streamed live, free of charge on Spike.com, starting at 7 p.m. EST.
