Report: Wanderlei Silva Accuses UFC of “Slavery”
By FCF Staff
Wanderlei Silva relayed this past weekend that he’s willing to fight Chael Sonnen, for a promotion other than the UFC, and it looks like the latter may have taken notice of his comments.
Silva harshly criticized the UFC recently and announced that the promotion’s treatment of fighters, was the reason why he was retiring from MMA. Not long after, Silva received a lifetime suspension from the Nevada Commission, for failing to take a random drug test earlier this year.
Well, following his comments this weekend at an XFC International card in Brazil, the following tweet appeared on Silva’s twitter feed:
Escravidão agora????? Como assim, nao posso trabalhar entao Dana? Vc nao manda em mim, luto onde eu quiser!O Q é seu ta guardado ja chega!

Wanderlei Silva just tweeted this: “Slavery now? So I can’t work, Dana? You’re not the boss of me, I can fight wherever I want.”

Silva was scheduled to fight Sonnen at UFC 175 this past July, before both men encountered licensing and disciplinary issues with the Nevada Commission.
Sonnen failed two random drug tests and was suspended for two years. The former middleweight contender has also retired.
