Tony Ferguson’s Wife Posts Statement Explaining Reasons For “Legal Proceedings”

Following reports Tony Ferguson has had a temporary restraining order from his wife filed against him, she has issued a statement explaining the reasons for it.
Cristina Ferguson’s lawyer, Jeffrey L. Heath, recently sent the following statement on her behalf to ESPN.
“Tony Ferguson is a good husband and good father to our son,” Cristina Ferguson said in the statement. “The current legal proceedings are a part of a process to ensure that Tony will receive the help necessary to continue being the best possible, as well as to pursue his passion and career as a UFC champion fighter.
“All positive well wishes are sincerely appreciated and I hope our privacy will be respected.”

The 35-year-old Ferguson hasn’t competed since October, when he earned a TKO win (via corner stoppage) over Anthony Pettis.
