Three of four domestic violence charges were dropped against former Strikeforce World Heavyweight Grand Prix competitor Brett “Da Grim” Rogers, during a court hearing on Thurs., Sept. 15.   Rogers pled guilty to one count of third-degree assault.

“It’s a big relief for me to be able to start moving past this and move forward with my life, together with my family, which means more to me than anything else,” said the 30-year-old Rogers, a resident of Apple Valley, Minn., a suburb of Minneapolis.  Rogers is due back in court on Nov. 30.

Rogers was arrested and jailed on June 29, after allegedly engaging in an argument that turned violent, with his wife.  Following his release on  $100,000 bond, Rogers re-united with his wife and children.

Rogers has also made a significant change to his training camp, joining Greg Nelson’s Minnesota Martial Arts Academy that boasts the likes of UFC heavyweight stars Brock Lesnar and Pat Barry as well as undefeated Bellator heavyweight Cole Konrad.

Rogers is set to face UFC veteran Eddie Sanchez in the live, HDNet televised main event at Titan Fighting Championship at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan. on Fri., Sept. 23.
