Attorney Says Initial Report of UFC 225 PPV Buy Figures Way Off
By FCF Staff
Following an initial report that claimed the pay-per-view sales for UFC 225 were quite low, an attorney for the promotion is saying the buy rate was much higher than reported.
The L.A. Times recently ran a story that cited an industry source, who said UFC 225 sold less than 150,000 buys. The story, however, has been updated with a comments from UFC attorney, Hunter Campbell. The latter claims that estimate for the June 9th card was a “material misrepresentation” of the sales, and short by “something in excess of six figures.” Campbell did not say how many PPV buys the card sold.
UFC 225 was headlined by a middleweight fight between Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero, and in the co-main event, Rafael dos Anjos battled Colby Covington for the interim welterweight title.
