Just hours before Bellator 138 takes place in St. Louis, Missouri, the promotion has announced it is holding a “three tiered” event in San Jose, on September 19th.

The card, titled “Dynamite”, will be headlined by a light-heavyweight bout between champion Liam McGeary and Tito Ortiz. In addition, and as expected, the card will feature several GLORY kickboxing matches, which will be held inside a ring. At today’s press conference, it was announced that Joe Schilling and Paul Daley will compete in GLORY bouts, however, their opponents have not been announced.

The September 19th event will also feature a four man, one night, light-heavyweight tourney. “King Mo” Lawal, Emanuel Newton, Phil Davis and Linton Vassell will be the competitors. The tourney’s match-ups have not been announced.

The semifinals of the tournament will feature two, five minute rounds, and the final will be a three, five minute round fight. Reserve matches will also be held, however, the fighters for those have yet to be determined.

During the press conference, Bellator President Scott Coker was asked by the promotion’s lightweight champ, Will Brooks, if the promotion’s fighters could compete in GLORY in the future. Coker said he had no issue with Bellator fighters competing in the GLORY ring.

“Dynamite” will be hosted by San Jose’s SAP Center.
