Conor McGregor Confirms UFC 257’s Big PPV Numbers With Image of Buy Rate Receipt
By FCF Staff
Earlier this year, it was reported that signs pointed to UFC 257 being a major, pay-per-view success. Now, Conor McGregor has shared out an image that appears to back that up.
Poirier and McGregor fought for a second time at the January event, and Poirier avenged his 2014 KO loss, with a stoppage win of his own. At the time, it was reported that the card was trending towards 1,600,000 PPV buys.
More recently, McGregor posted the image below, which apparently is a receipt for his PPV bonus. The document indicates that UFC 257 sold just over 1,500,000 PPV buys.

The UFC’s top-selling, PPV card to date is believed to have been UFC 229 in 2018. The card, which saw McGregor lose via submission to Khabib Nurmagomedov, is believed to have sold 2,400,000 buys.
McGregor continues to recover from a broken leg he sustained in his third fight with Poirier this past July. That bout headlined UFC 264, which is also believed to have sold around 1,500,000 PPV buys.
