Dana White Not Shocked by Jon Jones’ Latest Arrest, Says Star Has “a Lot of Demons”

Following reports that Jon Jones has been arrested again, Dana White’s made it clear he was far from surprised by the unfortunate news.
The former light heavyweight champ was arrested early Friday morning, not long after Jones was elected into the UFC’s Hall of Fame, for his legendary, 2013 bout with Alexander Gustafsson. Jones was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence by Las Vegas authorities.
While speaking to the media, ahead of today’s UFC 266 event, White argued the news of Jones’ arrest likely didn’t shock anyone (quotes via MMA Junkie).
“It’s like it’s not even shocking anymore,” White said. “When we bring him here, it’s almost expected. Can’t even get him into Las Vegas for less than 12 hours to induct him into the Hall of Fame. It’s a problem. This guy’s got a lot of demons, man – a lot of demons.”
He continued, “Is it really shocking anymore? It’s really not. It’s become not shocking. It’s almost become, ‘Uh oh, he’s in Vegas again. What’s going to happen today?’ You want to hope the guy is better, and that won’t be the case, but he proves every time he comes to this town that he can’t handle this place.”
The 34-year-old Jones has been arrested several times now during his career. Some of the incidents include a 2012 arrest for driving under the influence, and a 2015 arrest for a hit-and-run, which injured a pregnant woman.
Jones vacated the light heavyweight title last year, while announcing a move up to heavyweight.
