Daniel Cormier And Jon Jones Exchange Shots on Twitter

Jon Jones may have credited Daniel Cormier for his memorable win at UFC 192, but the former light-heavyweight champ and his rival are trading verbal shots once again.
Following Cormier’s thrilling, split decision victory over Alexander Gustafsson on October 3rd, Jones acknowledged the champion “showed some heart”. Since the win, Cormier has announced he’s taking some time off, after fighting five times in two years.
Jones was evidently brought up to speed on Cormier’s plans, as on Monday, he tweeted:
Take as much time as you want, the fire inside of me won't be dying down anytime soon. #AndStill

Cormier responded to “Bones” with the following comment:
I will take my time. I've been fighting against the best in the world not dealing with nonsense. Our time is coming. #growup #urnotakid

Jones and Cormier fought this past January, and the latter lost the bout via unanimous decision. After Jones was stripped of the title this past spring, Cormier submitted Anthony Johnson in May to become champ.
Jones is expected to be reinstated by the UFC in 2016, after reaching a plea deal with authorities, in connection to his arrest for a hit-and-run charge.
